Each of us co-participates in mechanisms of self- and co-regulation at the biological and social level, which extend into an ecological realization: We do not have full control over these mechanisms and are compelled to surrender and let go.

Certain psycho-physical practices facilitate our relation with the threshold world that lies beyond the boundaries of our skin, helping us to establish an intimate and collective relationship with the continuum.

The continuum is the space upon which all subjectivities open out—human and more-than-human, ancestors, future generations: it is the enchanted space of intersubjectivity.

Within the continuum, each of us has a counterpart. As in every diplomatic process, we too have our own counterpart, who dwells immersed in the continuum, with whom we can enter into dialogue but over whom we do not extend our dominion.

Our counterpart, the unconscious seat of regulations and realizations, unlearns rationality and presents itself to us.

This counterpart, as an intermediary spirit of and for all the creatures of the world—each with its own dividual subjectivity—is a being that inhabits the isthmus between the material and the immaterial worlds, in the form of an image.
